Founder mycorama
Nandor comes from a family of foragers and now, with decades of experience, passes on his knowledge and shares the exciting world of mushrooms.
Who are you?
I’m Nandor Albert, the founder of mycorama, a company dedicated to making mushroom cultivation accessible through grow kits!
What are you doing?
I started mushroom growing workshops in Vienna which are going better than I ever thought, and EcoMycel where I focus on developing sustainable insulation using mycelium. My work revolves around reducing waste, promoting circularity, and exploring fungi as a solution for a more regenerative future.
I believe in practical sustainability—empowering people to grow their own food, discover the potential of fungi, and rethink materials beyond plastic and wasteful packaging. Seeing people get excited about mushrooms, whether at markets, workshops, or through my products, is what keeps me motivated.
Why are you doing what you are doing?
Every day, I work towards a future where mycelium-based materials can replace harmful, unsustainable alternatives, and where more people engage hands-on with nature. Through my business and workshops, I aim to share knowledge and inspire action.
